Diamond Rings
The Clarity

Very few diamonds are perfect or flawless and the vast majority contain tiny imperfections known as inclusions or blemishes. These imperfections or blemishes have their own scale. Starting with FL for a flawless diamond through to I grade diamonds which contain inclusions.
The Colour

A diamonds purity is measured by how white the stone is.
This is done on a alphabetical scale, starting from D which is
the highest grade and totally colourless right through to Z which is
the lowest grade and has a very noticeable yellow colour

The Carat

The carat of a diamond is actually the weight of the stone and not the size which is
often what it is mistaken for. It is a good indicator for the size of a diamond but the
way in which the diamond is cut will determine the visual appearance of it's size.

The Cut

In order for a diamond to release it's full potential it must be cut to perfect
proportions. This will allow it to release it's brilliance and sparkle to it's full potential. The cut also refers to the shape of a stone, the most popular of which are: Brilliant Round, Emerald, Marquise, Pear, Princess and Oval
